Pale red dust jacket, printed in white & black. 224 pp. 8vo. 7-1/2" x 5-1/8". VG+ (bookplate)/VG (spine panel sunned somewhat). This edition the Book Society version that varies slightly from that noted by Sellery & Harris: the t.p. imprint notes the Book Society in addition to Cape, as well as the publication blurb on the title leaf verso- "This edition issued on First Publication by the Book Society Ltd. in Association with Jonathan Cape Ltd. March 1955." The dust jacket differs slightly also, with the Book Society frame in pink vice the black noted by S & H. Sellery & Harris, while aware of this BS version, had not seen a copy.
