Near fine/good. Jacket complete but quite edgeworn, with a bit of paper loss at scuffed spine. A tight and attractive early (not first) printing of this popular 1955 narrative. Tipped to inner flyleaf is a fine autograph addition: A signed photograph (of sorts) of Bishop, being a heavy stock 3½" X 5¼" card bearing a finely-trimmed book portrait of Bishop in suit and tie affixed, above which he boldly signs in blue ballpoint. Undated, although pencilled note on verso dates it 16 June 1983. .
