A rare topographical work. William Peck, originally from Epworth in Lincolnshire, set up business as a Druggist in Bawtry from where he wrote his history. Provenance: Neat contemporary ink ownership signature to head of title page 'Wm. Beckitt, Thorne'; late nineteen-century bookplate of Jonathan Hindle, Steeton.
