Vessels included armed merchant cruisers which were generally converted and armed merchant vessels; and armed boarding vessels, patrolling the northern waters of the North Sea in some of the worst weather conditions in the world, to sink German merchant vessels and to stop and inspect neutral merchant vessels and so prevent supplies from reaching the German northern ports, slightly cocked, lightly bumped lower tip of upper board, edges tanned, dustwrapper: does not appear trimmed but is 5mm shorter than the book, a little rubbed at extrems., lettering a little sunned at spine, very good in a very good dustwrapper,
