Wilbee, with their binder's stamp to the verso of the front free end paper. Bookplate to the front paste down. Thomas Babington Macaulay, 1st Baron Macaulay (1800-1859) was a British historian and Whig politician. This is a collection of his biographies of well-known and influential British figures: Francis Atterbury (1663-1732), John Bunyan (1628-1688), Oliver Goldsmith (1728-1774), Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) and William Pitt (1759-1806).
