Based on a series of popular lectures given in 1908 this is Soddy's (Rutherford's associate, Nobel Prize winner and later economic crank) attempt to embody an up-to-date account of radioactivity of use to the lay reader and scientist. He has added discoveries made since the lectures and given some account of his own recent successes.
