VON BRAUN, WERNER & FREDERICK I. ORDWAY III. - History of Rocketry & Space Travel.

NY, Crowell 1966. Quarto illustrated & embossed 'mission leather'; 244pp, heaps of illustrations. ¶ The 'Limited Edition' - so stated on the spine and nowhere else that I can find, and probably limited to no more than twenty or thirty thousand copies. The deluxe binding of illustrated mission leather is truly a work to behold and the binder, Brown and Bigelow (a division of Standard Packaging), have inserted a small brochure on the centuries old tradition of mission leather without mentioning that it is the leather equivalent of masonite. This copy has the discreet gilt stamp 'E.G. Person' on front cover. Does that make this a sample copy? is there someone actually called E.G. Person? Once we get inside it actually is a well researched, worthwhile and useful history.
