Paris, Librairie Phalansterienne 1849. 17x11cm, folded but not cut or stitched; ie it is still one sheet of paper printed on both sides forming 32pp. ¶ Pompery was a staunch Fourierist and feminist - as only a Frenchman of his age could have been. He appears to have been a friend of Flora Tristan and George Sand, which must have taken some delicate footwork. Sand urged that Pompery marry Flora's daughter Aline rather than waste his time building a tomb to that madwoman (cette folle de Flora).
