Hikifuda. - Hikifuda of a boy sailor winning a horserace with a crown princess like mother and two other military children cheering.n.p. [190-?]. Colour lithograph 26x37cm. Minor signs of use, quite a good copy. ¶ An exhilarating conjunction of sport, patriotism and those repulsive chubby infants so popular in the late Meiji period. I don't know what this hikifuda - a small poster or handbill - advertises but it is winning.
