This records commission publication is a calendar to the Pleadings in the Duchy of Lancaster from the fourteenth year to the end of the reign of Queen Elizabeth. Please note this is Volume Three only. One large folio volume bound in quarter leather with red cloth.There is some wear to the extremities including fading, marks and tears to the cloth, bumping to the corners and fraying to the leather spine, particularly to the top. The binding is reasonably firm with the boards and all internal pages attached, although the front hinge has split and been professionally reinforced. Internally the pages are generally clean with the occasional brown spot or handling mark. The half title is badly spotted, creased and slightly torn.There is a barcode sticker on the rear endpaper and a number on the spine but no other signs that this has been an institutional copy.
