1974 New Zealand, hardcover, no dustjacket 168 pages. The story of the sinking of a full-rigged, 3 masted American ship bound for Britain via Cape Horn. In May 1866 she foundered on the Auckland coast with the loss of 73 out of 83 passengers and crew. The book gives a narrative of the wreck, the subsequent struggle of the survovors and the efforts to recover the cargo of gold she was carrying. No dustjacket as on image, otherwise good condition
