Contains [xx] 507 (+ 40 page catalogue) printed pages of text with three tissue-guarded monochrome illustrations, folding facsimile letter with red seal. Old damp stain to the bottom of the spine which has bled on to the bottom corners of the past downs and plates, spine slightly sun faded. Separately enclosed is a folded plate titled 'Swift and Stella', produced with permission of The Berlin Photographic Co., by The Photographische Gesellschaft in 1896.
