HEPPLE, ANNE - The Untempered Wind

London, Hutchinson & Co. ND. Hardcover. pp. 256, 20.8vo,,In original publisher's highly coloured dust jacket.First published in 1930 by Anne Hepple Dickinson (1877-1959) who, the following year, became the first editor of 'The Women's Magazine'. Under the pseudonym Anne Hepple, she wrote almost 30 romantic novels. The book is a bit cocked, with a little age-toning to the page edges. There is a small stain to the bottom edge of the front pastedown and front free endpaper, which does not carry on further into the book, which is otherwise it is clean, tight and in very good condition. The scarce dust jacket is well-worn, especially at the folds, with a number of small, closed, tears. It is encased in archival quality acetate to prevent further deterioration. A '3/6' novel, with '14th thousand' on title page; '45th Thous.' on dust jacket. 20 pages of publisher's ads at end.
