Title in manuscript, with ex-library markings, on the smooth spine. Some light browning at a few pages but a very nice copy. With a manuscript ex-libris on the title page '' Domus Prob. Cobiga (?) Soc. Iesu'' Later added '' Bibliotheca Coll. Ferrisisse S.J. ''. Also with small 19th c. oval rubberstamp '' Bibliotheca A. Hamy''. The text of Alegambe ends at pp. 432. The book was continued by Johannes Nadasi. Philippe Alegambe , also known as the first compiler of a bibliography on the Jesuit Order wrote here a chronical study on the lives of the early members of the Jesuit Order. Some members ( e.g. Paschasius Broët , Ludovicus Ruiz-Granatensis ) get a lengthy description, others are only mentioned by name and date of death by plague. Apart from the chronology the entries are also arranged according the ''Jesuit Provinces '' : Gallia , Hispania , Italia, Bohemia, Belgium, Lusitania, Polonia, and also Peruvia and South America. .
