DRAGOMIR, M - It Started in Poland.

London, Faber, 1941, First edition. Hardback, Dustjacket: Fair. Size: 8vo. The author was a Civil Servant in Poland in 1939, when he became a refugee. The book is his story of his time on the road, his return to wartime Warsaw and subsequent escape to America. Mushroom-coloured cloth-covered boards, red and grey dust jacket, 249 pages. Condition: Dust jacket (price-clipped) badly torn, with considerable loss, and edge-rolled; now in protective wrapper. Boards bumped, a little soiling to the top edges and top of spine, but internally clean and unmarked; the wartime economy paper has aged well. Good.
