After the Battle of Britain pilots were so badly needed the entry qualifications were reduced, his application was accepted and after some basic training he spent the next four and a half year flying every type of operational aircraft (except flying boats), from Hurricanes and Harvards to Lancasters and Liberators, to wherever they were needed by the Royal Air Force, slighly cocked, a little rubbed at extrms., page edges tanned, dustwrapper: price clipped, lightly rubbed at extrems., spine sunned, very good in a very good dustwrapper,
