Rare. Only 3 institutional holdings are located, two of which are in the Netherlands, one at BnF. A blueprint for the use of artillery in WW1. The recently set French doctrine could now be tested in the Picardy manoeuvres of 1910. Two army corps took part, each of five brigades and a cavalry division. The army corps had a new 30-battery artillery establishment. As a side dish, the manoeuvres offered the first large-scale opportunity for pilots to practise alongside ground troops, with 13 aeroplanes (plus four dirigibles) taking part.
