Forman, James et al. - Looking Glass. Volume 1, Number 7. May (1968) Ann Arbor, MI, Looking Glass, Publisher, 1968. Tabloid. no date, most likely 1968. Side folding square tabloid format. 16 pp. Black and white illustrations throughout. Early issue of this somewhat obscure underground press publication from Ann Arbor. Its editors hoped to focus more on the political than the psychedelic, and especially leaned toward the more radical elements of the left movement politics. This issue with a centerfold photograph of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. an essay on the famine like conditions in Mississippi; a piece on the Poor People's March in Washington; a profile of some notable motorcycle racers from Ann Arbor, etc. GOOD condition. Heavy toning to the paper. Paper a bit brittle, with some creasing, chipping and tearing along the extremities. Extra tab of paper at the upper rear edge. Good .
