Bhatt, Siddheswar Rameshwar - THE PHILOSOPY OF PANCHARATRA. An Advaitic Approach.

Madras, Ganesh & Co , 1968. 1st edition 136 pp. Pb paper wrappers. Pancharatra was a religious movement in Hinduism that originated in late 1st millennium BCE around the ideas of Narayana and the various avatars of Vishnu as their central deities. The movement later merged with the ancient Bhagavata tradition and contributed to the development of Vaishnavism. This study tries to show that inspite of some of the doctrines which are suggestive of the Vishishtadvaita philosophy, there is an overwhelming evidence in the texts which convincingly indicates the basis advaitic position of the Pancharatra School. Sticker ugly removed from frontcover. Wrappers show some wear. Name first endpaper.Otherwise good and clean copy.
