Interior in very good condition.; The Nossa Senhora dos Mártires was a cargo ship, that got sunken in 1606 at the mouth of the River Tagus, near Lisbon when returning from India, Portugal, and subsequently excavated between 1996 and 2001. Also known as "Pepper Wreck" as its major cargo was pepper. Its cargo contained collection of artefacts dated from the late 16th and early 17th centuries, including Chinese ceramics, an astrolabe, a large anchor. This book contains a series of essays focusing on the wreck, its discovery and the its cargo. Good/No Jacket.
