Original cardboard folder with edge wear. Housed in a modern cloth box. First edition limited to 370 copies, of which this is no. 305. Signed by Hunter and the publisher Elmer Adler. A thorough study of handmade papers from various Indian provinces. The author visited Kashmir, Sailkot, Delhi, Agra, Kalpi, Wardha, Hyderabad and Dacca. Includes sections on early writing materials, papermaking materials and moulds.
