After first linking up with Dutch patriots he was captured, confined to POW camp and spent the next 3 years in various camps or escape attempts before finally managing to be repatriated in 1944 by feigning illness, lightly rubbed at extrems., edges tanned and faintly foxed, dustwrapper: a little rubbed at extrems., a little foxed to reverse, relined at spine ends and cnrs., very good in a very good dustwrapper,
