Zimmer (443-444) states “a voluminous work of general nature containing a mass of information. The 588 plates, which are hand-colored, are fairly good and the book early obtained considerable popularity because of the hand-colored plates”. This second edition is the first revised edition of the work. A bright and clean set in near fine condition in fine slipcases..
