Publisher's original pale green wrappers, lettered in black and in red, 4to. Archives de L'Institut de Paleontologie Humaine, memoir number 32. This monograph documents the fossil humans found in Ternifine Cave in Algeria. These were originally classified as Atlanthropus mauritanicus but today is judged by many to be late African Homo erectus. From the library of Dutch paleontologist D. A. Hooijer with name stamp on the front wrapper and his signature on the title page. The half-title page is stamped ""Hommage de L'Auteur."" The text is in French. No other ownership marks. The edges of the wrappers shown wear along the spine, one corner of the rear wrapper has a small crease, light sunning to the outer border of the front wrapper; overall, a very good copy..
