Massively heavy, oversized volume, published in Paris by Imprimerie Nationale, 1887, bound in a tall, heavy folio hardcover format, with xviii, 659 pp. and featuring several appendices. Internally a Near Fine condition, unopened copy, with unexploded top edges. Binding shows a little wear at the extremities, some mild damp-staining along edges, some half-toning to endpapers. Internally quite fine and remarkably bright. Five double-page black-and-white engravings, 19 full-page black-and-white engravings, all with their original tissue guards, hors texte. 46 black-and-white figures in the text. Authored by Adolph Berty (1818-1867) and then by Lazare Maurice Tisserand (1822-1893).Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. . . . Very Good

I've done my best to state clearly and truthfully the condition of each and every book I have listed on-line. Sometimes, however, books change condition insofar as they sit on the shelf for a long time, get moved by customers, get taken to and from book fairs, and so on. Most orders will ship within one to two business days, but often times, they will go out on the same day as they are ordered. I've based my shipping costs on the assumption of books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized (extra thick, extra long, etc.), I may contact you to let you know that extra shipping is required. Bubble mailers and boxes will be expertly and securely wrapped and monitored. Please contact us if there is anything extra or different you need us to do.
