London: printed by J.L. for Humphrey Moseley, 1656. 1656. - Small quarto, 7-1/4 inches high by 5-1/2 inches wide. Hardcover, bound in full contemporary brown calf. The leather covers are rubbed & scuffed with pieces chipped from the head & tail of the spine. Pages [i-xxxii], 1-274, 267-424, 427-482, 493-631, and [1-13]. Misnumbered but textually complete, with decorative head pieces & engraved initials and a full-page botanical illustration on page 313. Lacks the frontispiece, which is somewhat common with this book. There is some occasional minor foxing with some occasional staining. The front edges of the first few leaves are darkened & slightly chipped and there is a tiny piece out from the bottom edge of one leaf. The text block is cracking and a few signatures (i.e. group of pages) are lightly pulled. Good. Third edition. Good .
