Undated, but possibly published c.1918-24. --- In flatback binding style 1, full carmine cloth-covered boards with Reginald Knowles-designed gilt spine titling & decorations, blindstamped J. M. Dent vignette to front cover, dark topstain and fancy Knowles woodcut art at frontis. Lacks the dust jacket. --- A Fair-only copy with missing title page, tears to cloth at front and rear joints, prior owner's signature & penciled notations to first few pages. The post-WWI imitation gold leaf to spine has tarnished to mostly black, else an intact, fully readable copy.
