Winnipeg, MB, City of Winnipeg. 1st edition. Paperback. 8vo. We offer a collection of 49 bound annual volumes of the bylaws passed by the council of the City of Winnipeg. Each is a separate volume commencing in 1928, and running continuously through to 1980. There are no volumes for the war year of 1941 and the immediate post-war year of 1946. Each volume measures approximately 24 x 17 cm and is bound in either marbled boards, or stiff card covers. The binding is utilitarian - not fancy. Some volumes are quite thick; some are less so - it all depended on the amount of legislation the council passed in any given year, and some sessions were more prolific than others. All volumes came from the law department of the Canadian Pacific Railway and bear their rubber stamps on the preliminary pages. Otherwise, each volume is in excellent condition. This is a heavy set of books. .
