Original printed wrappers nicely decorated with woodcut ornaments on cover, frayed and chipped; shelf ticket to spine, old military institutional stamps to cover and title-page. Preserved entirely in the original state in good internal condition. ~ Third, improved edition. Very rare. First published in 1883 the book was in much demand and has been through at least 4 editions. The 2nd edition appeared also in 1884 but was directly replaced by this, "best" edition, to be followed the same year by 4th, unchanged edition. 005-5 .
