This work critiques both Edmund Burke's 'Observations on the Appeal from the New to the Old Whigs' and 'The Rights of Man,' by Thomas Paine and espouses a similar philosophical view on the French Revolution and the power of the crown held by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, with whom Boothby was friends (Wikipedia). FAIR/GOOD condition, lacking all covers, spine and endpapers. Heavy darkening to the title page and last page with minor to moderate browning to the paper throughout.
