The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some light bumping and rubbing. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a previous owner's inked name and address and Chinese "Chop" on the front endpaper, along with an ink stamped name and address on the front pastedown page. "George William Curtis (February 24, 1824 – August 31, 1892) was an American writer and public speaker, born in Providence, Rhode Island, of New Englander ancestry. A Republican, he spoke in favor of African-American equality and civil rights." (from Wikipedia). Very Good .
