Beattie, Ann - The Burning House New York: Random House, (1982). (1982). New York: Random House, (1982). (1982). Very good. INSCRIBED BY ANN BEATTIE TO HANS NAMUTH AND SIGNED IN FULL - Octavo, cloth- backed boards in a dust wrapper. The binding is lightly bumped. The dust jacked is rubbed with the extremities darkened and with the head & tail of its spine chipped. There is creasing to the dust jacket flaps. [ix] & 256 pages. There is offsetting to the front pastedown & endpaper where something has been laid in. There is minor soiling to the top edge. Very good in a good dust wrapper. First edition. Inscribed by the author to photographer Hans Namuth: "A rayograph reproduction with some accompanying stories. / With best wishes-- / Ann Beattie / New York 1984". Namuth's blind stamp is above the inscription on the front endpaper. Hans Namuth [1915-1990] was a German-born photographer who specialized in portraiture, photographing many visual artists, including Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning and Robert Rauschenberg.
