The binding is bumped & lightly rubbed with the spine slightly faded & its head lightly chipped & frayed. xiv & pages 3-316 plus 10-page publisher's catalog. Illustrated by Charles Livingston Bull with black-and white vignettes, 44 black-and-white plates, & 4 color plates with printed tissue guards, including a frontispiece.The rear hinge is cracked & the front hinge is just starting. The top 2 inches of the front endpaper are detached. There is a short tear to & a small piece out of the front edge of 1 leaf of the preliminaries where it has been roughly opened. A very attractive copy, despite its flaws. Good.
