First edition of one of the most important works about the history of the Swedish settlements on the Delaware river. It deals with political and ecclesiastical history, customs and manners, mines, commerce, housekeeping, natural resources etc. Acrelius, a Swedish clergyman, was sent in 1749 to be Provost of the Swedish congregations in New Sweden (Pennsylvania).
