A Swedish edition translated from the German edition (Braunsweig in 1796) about this voyage to the Cape of Good Hope, the East Indies and Bengal. Stavornius, a Dutch Admiral in the service of the Dutch East Indies, gives accurate descriptions of the Cape, Java and Bengal as well as of V.O.C. trading posts.
