Bertrand was a Swiss geographer and photographer who made many ethnographical trips around the world. This account is about a journey to the Barotseland and the Zambezi basin, today located in western Zambia. Bertand's account based on his diary describes the different places he visited, its people, and hunting experiences of buffalo, wildebeest and lion.
