Second edition (first 1866) of this famous account about the source of the Nile, reprinted many times. Samuel White Baker was an English naturalist, big game hunter and explorer. He was the first Englishman to undertake high office under the Egyptian government. Baker discovered the lake Albert N'Yanza and the source of the White Nile.
