The aim of the study is to describe some of the trends in the development of sculpture in the first decades of the twentieth century, when the neobaroque and impressionist style, which had culminated in the art of Rodin, was succeeded by a completely different treatment of form and composition. The study deals with this change of style and also analyses the subsequent stages of the new style, as some of the main elements were soon relaced by others. The study is concentrated upon the works of three Scandinavian sculptors: Contents include Carl Milles [1875], Kai Nielsen [1882-1924 and Gustav Vigeland [1869-1943].. Return policy;
We run a 'no quibble' returns policy.
If we have made any error of collation or missed any significant flaw, or if we have failed to describe the condition honestly and accurately, we refund the cost of the book in full, plus the cost of outward shipping, plus the cost of your return shipping.
If you wish to return a book for any other reason, We refund the cost of the book, less a £5 handling charge. The cost of outward shipping is not refunded. The return shipping, and insurance, is at your expense.
In all cases, the returned book must be in our hands within one calendar month of the original sale, though exceptions can be made to this rule in special cases.
Any new damage suffered by the book will be charged pro-rata.
