Designers are often not named, but are among the top of the graphic artists of the period. A magazine full of word games, Graphic tricks and satire. Prikkels (magazine) Prikkels (sometimes â€oeProost Prikkels) is a Dutch ( most monthly ) magazine that was issued by the paper trade company Proost en Zoon . The magazine was launched in 1937. Proost later merged with the firm of Brandt and Son, which prior to the merger, a similar magazine issued under the title Brandt-Vonken ( =FIRE-Sparks). After the merger, the series was continued as PRIKKELS. The purpose of this magazine was to provide a free medium to the customers to show what can be made with paper. Many issues are humoristic magazines., These magazines also often contain information about paper and paper terminology. All issues strongly reflect the time period in which it was made, Many well known graphic / lay out designers and photographers participated. There was no format for size or material.
