Marbled endpapers. Presentation page (inserted before the half-title) with hand-written names: "E. Lyttelton"; to "Edmundo S. Clarke" and dated 1912. ** E. Lyttelton - Rev. Hon. Edward Lyttelton (23 July 1855 – 26 January 1942) was an English sportsman, schoolmaster and cleric from the Lyttelton family. He played first-class cricket for Cambridge University and Middlesex as well as representing the England national football team. He was the son of Colonel Stephenson Robert Clarke and Edith Gertrude Godman. Lieutenant in the Scots Guards 1914-1920. He died before 1963. He lived at Pickwell, Bolney, Sussex, England.
