Well bound in the original red cloth. Large 8vo. 10.25" x 8.0" x 2.0". pp.14/pp.273[1p. - advert], + 55 leaves of plates as called for (some coloured). Red cloth covered boards with gilt titles to front board and an image of a moose. Edges lightly rubbed and corners bumped. Spine a little faded with similar gilt titles. Top page edges gilt (now dulled). Rough-cut page edges. Toning to endpapers. Bookplate to verso of the front board: "Eric Cecil Sebag-Montefiore." Light foxing throughout, but all plates in good condition. G+. ** Lt.-Col. Eric Cecil Sebag-Montefiore (1899-1991). He was educated at Wellington College and then at Sandhurst. He fought in both World Wars, gaining the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1947 in the service of the Durham Light Infantry. (The Peerage).
