Having experienced the wrath of the authorities before, he decided prudently not to indicate his name. However, tempering his acid pen when describing the history of Sweden’s royal house of Holstein-Gottorp, which would also have been prudent and perhaps more effective, he did not decide to do. Thus Crusenstolpe left later neutral observers, like librarians, with quite a dilemma: whether to categorize Morianen as romance or as history. (code N-42)
