Henry Gassett, Bostonian businessman and friend of John Quincy Adams, donated numerous anti-masonic books to American and other libraries. This work, published as being by 'A member of the Suffolk Committee', consists of various essays on freemasonry as well as listing many of the books donated and their locations. Publisher's binding of dark brown cloth, gilt lettered.. Signed presentation inscription from Gassett on front free endpaper to one Wm. S. Morton. A good, sound and clean copy.
