Goupil à Paris" on upper cover and in margin of three pages, a small stamp of "Baset, Versailles" at lower outer corner of three pages. Tears to margins of some leaves, some staining and soiling. First edition of this important work on the ancient language Nahuatl spoken by the Central Mexican peoples, also known as Aztecs. Carlos de Tapia Zenteno was an ecclesiastical judge and chief professor of the Mexican language at the Royal University and Pontifical Seminary College.
