- Plan of Edgeware Woods.

0. [in 1649]. Colour facsimile published c. 1910 [?] to accompany or be bound in to a publication of the Oxford Historical Society. Plan, or rather map, approx. 26 x 21 cm., printed with a key beside it and a wide blank margin on a sheet, including margins, approx. 35.5 x 63 cm. Light creases to top left-hand corner of map and to margins. Apparently published as a folding plate for a work or essay related to All Souls College, Oxford. The plan is also entitled "The Description of the Mannor of Edgeware in the Countye of Middlesex as the sam doth lye betweene the high waye that leadeth from St Albones to London called Watling Streete on the Southe West and the Mannor of Hendon in parte and the Mannor of Boyes lande in parte on the Easte and abutteth on the lands of Mr Paggington in parte ..drawne and made in the moneth of Aprill in the year of our Lorde MDLXXXXIX (1649). It shows the wood , which borders Watling Street on its West and extends South to Hendon, parcelled and let to various tenants. The parcels are shown with green borders made up of tiny trees, and a list of 22 freeholders or copyholders is printed beside it. The price quoted is for not one but for four copies.
