Written by two by two professional historians but written for the reader not for other historians. Vane was the only civilian to equal Cromwell in the service of the Parliament. He was beheaded for his part in the Regicide. The text is largely bright and clean, the boards are unevenly sunned and the jacket is heavily bumped with one small tear. ISBN:0370102789.
