Contemporary marbled boards, cloth spine, rubbed. First edition. The first part contains a detailed description of the Tai people living in the north western part of Vietnam. The second part is devoted to the grammar; the third to writing; and the fourth and fifth parts comprise vocabularies, also giving the phonetic of Taï words. Scarce. Cordier BI 1779.
