A 1735 printing of Colley Cibber's play, The Careless Husband. This work, exploring infidelity in marriage (cheating husband) with humor and maudlin emotions, was considered Cibber's best work, and perhaps most popular. Colley Cibber was an actor, poet and playwright, although consensus among his contemporaries indicated that he was considered overrated in all aspects of his careers. Alexander Pope featured him as head dunce in his work, the Dunciad. GOOD condition. Covers lacking, with leather present along the spine. Minor toning, scattered foxing and soiling to the paper. Good .

We charge a media ship rate of $4.50 for the first book plus $2.00 per each additional books. We ship internationally with the US post office. Shipping rates provided upon request based on the country of receipt. Wherever possible, we ship using first class international for $25.00, or the flat rate priority envelope through the US Post which costs $35.00. This is subject to change based on country being shipped to or size of book, so please contact to confirm rate.

Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
