Bosaton, James French, 1851. First Edition, 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Hardcover. 252pp. Green stamped boards, gilt spine lettering. Ex-library with usual markings, splitting to spine and joints, binding holding tightly, library stamp on title page, text is clean. Last page of text has a fascinating and unusual handwritten message, presumably by the author, which reads : "This volume was not printed under the surperintendance of the author, and therefore he is not accountable for the (mistakes?) and typographical errors in it. Author" Portions of the text even have small corrections handwritten in it, evidently by the author. Good.
