[3pp], 496pp. Engraved frontis plate and sixty-five fine engraved anatomical plates. Gerard Blasius (1627-1682) - Dutch physician and anatomist. He was the eldest son of Leonard Blasius, who had worked as an architect in Copenhagen. Gerard started his studies there then moved to Leiden with his family, after his father died. Around 1655 he became a physician in Amsterdam. In October 1659 Blasius was appointed at the Athenaeum Illustre but without being paid. In the next year he became the first Amsterdam professor in medicine. This, his last work is considered the first comprehensive treatise on comparative anatomy.. Return policy;
We run a 'no quibble' returns policy.
If we have made any error of collation or missed any significant flaw, or if we have failed to describe the condition honestly and accurately, we refund the cost of the book in full, plus the cost of outward shipping, plus the cost of your return shipping.
If you wish to return a book for any other reason, We refund the cost of the book, less a £5 handling charge. The cost of outward shipping is not refunded. The return shipping, and insurance, is at your expense.
In all cases, the returned book must be in our hands within one calendar month of the original sale, though exceptions can be made to this rule in special cases.
Any new damage suffered by the book will be charged pro-rata.
